Well, these days tell me who isn't? There's a hip-hop/gangsta rap craze going on. It's penetrated almost every aspect of youth culture. It doesn't seem to matter if a person is white, black, latino or asian. Everyone seems to think they need to look, talk and act like thugs to be cool.
Personaly, I think it's incredibley lame. It's a highly commercialised, superficial, materialistic culture filled with zombies who think what ever's blairing on the radio or rotting people's brains on eMpTyV is cool. Instead of thinking for themselves and finding aspects of our WORLD culture (not just the US)that's most fitting for themselves, they'd rather confine themselves to the masses.
I wonder if the fact we have one of the WORST education systems in the free world has anything to do with this...
But in the end, what it all surmounts to is corporate dollars. Where there's mindless masses willing to run, not walk, after the latest trends, there's money to be made.
'nuff said.
